Part 4

Ryu was now shattered and he was no longer able to control his tears but managed to say,"Hey old man Whats the proof that all this is true."

The old man just said,"I know that you were going to ask this stupid question, you might know that all members of a Fighter Clan have specific Tattoo birth marks, see yours and compare that with that of other members of the Sunshine Clan."

Then Ryu rolled back his right sleeve and looked at his tattoo birth mark Then he remembered how the mark of the Sunshine Clan members looked like

He always wondered why his tattoo birth mark looked different and the answer provided by the old man seemed the most logical one.

Then Ryu asked the old man,"Hey do you know any of the attacks the Shadow Clan members performed."

"I have faithfully served the Shadow Clan for many years its only natural that I would pick up something here and there."

Then the old man asked Ryu if he was interested in learning some real magic which he was supposed to learn. Ryu was now angry on everyone in his Sunshine Clan, he understood why he didn't feel sleepy at night or why his father was so cold to him while he behaved very lovingly with his "Son" or why he was never able to activate the Solar Magic.

Ryu felt that the only person whom he could trust and believe was the old man and said,"Yes old man can you please teach me anything, anything at all."

The old man said,"I know I am a Mere Mortal but I think I can help you." Then the old man continued,"Ryu want to see the place where you should be living had Mr.Taiyoukou not killed the leader of the Shadow Clan i.e your Father."

Then Ryu exclaimed,"The leader of the Shadow Clan was my Father."

"Yes and you are the inheritor of his legacy." said the old man in his coarse voice..

Now Ryu's anger knew no bounds on Mr.Taiyoukou when he learnt from the old man that he was the murderer of his Father. The old man and Ryu moved through the village and went off the outskirts of the Village where Ryu had never gone. Then Ryu exclaimed at what he saw- A very old and dilapidated Dojo which was in shades of black and gray.

A bent board near the entrance of the Dojo read,"The Shadow Clan Dojo - A Place where the Shadows are Living." Then when Ryu stepped into the Dojo he suddenly had a strange feeling. He was feeling as if he belonged there and that Sunshine Dojo was like a Jail.

Then after spending a few hours roaming "His" Dojo he asked the old man to teach him something. To this the old man said,"Ryu it is late now. I will teach you magic tomorrow at this place only but while coming tomorrow don't forget to get your sword." Then Ryu said that he had no sword and this wooden blade was all he had.

Then the old man said,"Mr.Taiyoukou has made a sword specially for you and its in the place where the secret things of the Sunshine Clan are kept, get it and I will teach you all the magic I can."

Ryu was both happy and sad . He didn't want to leave His Dojo and go but he had to and before going he asked the old man,"Hey Old Man you are a Mere Mortal right, how can you teach Magic."

The old man smiled and said,"Well we Mere Mortals might not be able to use magic but at least I can show you how The Shadow Clan members use their weapons."

Then Ryu ran away and after he went the old man sat down at the entrance of the gate. After sometime some shadows crept behind him and he said in that same hollow tone,"Master, everything is going according to the Plan, the Kid is naive and he doesn't suspect a thing."

Then the old man could hear some cruel cold laughter and the Shadows vanished again.

“Pooja wake up, time to go to classes”, said a voice trying to wake up the half asleep girl to which the girl replied, “Mom today's the first day of school I don't want to go to Verma coaching institute at least once“ The girl's mother was now annoyed and sternly replied, “I don’t care if it’s your first day of school or not you are not going to miss even one day of coaching classes Pandu” That was it ”Mom don’t call me Pandu I am not 7 year old, I used to like it when I was little but now it’s strange so stop it and ok ok I will get ready soon” She quickly got ready and as usual her father dropped at the Coaching Center. As the weeks passed, the park whose plan was laid by many engineers was taking shape by the help of students and anyone who was interested in helping. Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoons were spent in gardening, digging dirt, planting saplings etc. but Pooja had to make up a lot of stories to come out of her house every week which included everything from " Special Classes At School to Visiting a Sick Friend ". One such Saturday evening while she was working on the Flower Beds near the Entrance Gate, she was working without a care in the world, Ravi came and joined her and they were working so hard that they got mud spots in many places on their faces and then Ravi asked Pooja,"Hey Pooja, how is it that you manage to come twice every week while others want to skip their share of work by giving some reasons." To this Pooja smiled shyly and replied,"Well Ravi the thing is that, I have a lot of childhood memories of playing in this green lot and I didn'...
