Then Ryu looked at the old man with astonishment and asked him,"What happened?"
The old man just smiled like always and said,"Well son nothing comes easy and definitely not Shadow Clan's Fighting Style, it takes a lot of practice to master those moves you have just learnt."
Ryu asked,"How long?" and the old man thought for a moment and said,"It all depends of on your Will Power but even with infinite amount of will power it's going to take some years to master all of them, so just try to focus on the basics first and then move to advanced levels."
Ryu saw that the sky had become Orange and it was becoming late for him. So he went back home
sadly as he was now really attached to "His Dojo" and at the
Sunshine Dojo after another quiet dinner he slept quickly waiting for morning to arrive soon. But even in his dreams he was seeing all the images of the Moves of the Shadow Clan Style and was determined to master at least a few by the next day. But once when he woke up in the midnight he got a sudden doubt,"If Mr.Taiyoukou had killed his Father - The Leader of the Shadow Clan. Why was he keeping Ryu alive all these years?"
The next morning Ryu had to try really hard to hold back his Shadow Magic against his "Brother's" Sunshine Magic and again after another disastrous training session for him he hurried off to his Favorite Place in the entire village - His Dojo. Then when he saw the old man the first thing he asked him was,"Hey Old Man I need to ask you something, "Why did Mr.Taiyoukou let me live all these years when he could have killed me also long back?"
The Old Man was a little taken aback by Ryu's sudden question but he took a moment's breath and said in his hollow tone,"My Son I think the time is ripe to tell you everything." He continued,"Long back before even this village was established, this was a place where a few Mere Mortals had settled, one day a Mysterious Fighter came around and on that day Two Dragons attacked the settlement
The Fighter was able to defeat both the dragons but at the cost of his life. But before dying that Mysterious Fighter extracted the souls of both the dragons and sent them into the bodies of the 2 children of the leader of the settlement. The mysterious fighter left many scrolls and with the aid of those , the children were able to develop their magic and as years rolled by clashes came between them and they both established two different Dojos - The Sunshine Dojo and the Shadow Clan Dojo."
Ryu had never bothered to learn the history of their village and what the old man said was really interesting but Ryu had still not got his answer and he repeated the question to which the old man continued,"I am coming to that point. The First Child of the Leader Of a Clan in every generation inherited the Soul of their respective Dragon and when your father died his Dragon Soul was passed onto you but it is still in its Dormant Condition and it won't become active till you have reached a certain age or under extreme circumstances experienced some kind of Strong Emotional Feeling. So after you reach a certain age Mr. Taiyoukou would kill you and as there is no next generation to pass on the Dragon Soul he can extract it from you and become unbeatable in Dueling."
Ryu was shocked to learn that his adoptive father Mr.Taiyoukou had such intentions in him. Learning all this made Ryu even more determined to master his Shadow Clan style of fighting and beat the Sunshine Clan in a Dueling Competition.
Then that entire afternoon he read the Scrolls once again and started practicing his moves with great determination. Ryu even had the hidden power of the Shadow Dragon which meant that he had lots of amounts of Chakra and could use any move he wanted to if he was able to control the Inner Dragon.
After a lot of practicing he was able to master the very basic moves of the Shadow Clan - 1.Transforming his wooden blade into the Shadow Katana.
2. Shadow Slash - A very basic attack of the Shadow Clan Style which could cut through almost anything.
3. Dark Embers - Another basic attack which causes the user's weapon to go up in black flames which can be thrown at a distance.
